Clayton Young

Clayton has invested in several restaurants both in Texas and California. He is also a Project Manager for one the countries largest disaster recovery contractors, Crowder Gulf. Clayton graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Entrepreneurial Management and International Studies. He spent large parts of 2009 and 2010 studying in and traveling around Europe where a passion for the cultures and flavors took hold. During this time Patrick and Clayton spent a month hiking the Camino de Santiago across Spain. Armed with a love for food and a healthy zest for a challenge they decided to launch Boca in the summer of 2014 in the spirit of their experiences on the Camino.

Patrick Armstrong

Patrick has been in the restaurant business since 2007 where he has worked for chefs Jon Thompson, Charlie Palmer, Joel Harloff, and most notably Stephan Pyles. Patrick has been a waiter, bartender and eventually moved into management. He managed the nationally recognized wine bar Dali wine Bar in Dallas in 2009; even being featured in Travel and Leisure Magazine that same year. He then managed Samar by Stephan Pyles and the bar at Stampede 66. He also spent 2010 – 2012 traveling/working in numerous restaurants, bars, vineyards and olive farms in Spain where he began to appreciate the culinary side of things even gaining residency in 2011. He began his culinary career with BOCA in June of 2014 where he is the Co-Founder, Co-Owner and Chef.

Boca was inspired by El Camino De  Santiago, a 600 mile pilgrimage across Spain. Patrick and Clayton completed the trip on foot in 2010. Boca was born and braised in Austin, Texas at Container Bar on Rainey Street. They bring the farm to the table with amazing farms such as Vital Farms, 44 Farms, Berkwood Farms, and Village Farms.
