Noah Wight + BLVD
About Noah Wight
Noah Wight was born in Texas but was raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Denver. He traveled the world working on boats for 10 years. For the past two years, he has lived and worked in Texas in R&D and prototyping. His goal is to be a conduit between art and technology and make cool stuff! He’s just getting started but has already cultivated awe and joy in many people who have had the pleasure of seeing his work. His art form is unique but his process reflects that of a traditional painter. His circuits, code, solder and plastic are his brush strokes. Noah will be collaborating with Alex Rowe, utilizing his software Synesthesia to bring the installation to life.
Originally hailing from San Diego, CA and now residing in Austin, TX, Jay Morgan, BLVD (pronounced Boulevard) began the artistic path in the fine arts in 1995. He has since progressed his career as a street artist, tattooer, carpenter, and sculptor. Today as one of Austin’s most multi-faceted artists, BLVD’s clients include but are not limited to X-Games, 1xRUN, Austin City Limits, SXSW, and Pabst Blue Ribbon. His signature bright blue teddy bear seen on the streets presents itself as an indication of the lighter side of the art world and as a reminder to not take life so seriously. In addition to being an independent artist, BLVD is co-creator and owner of SprATX, the local art collective and boutique in East Austin.
